Double Springs To Go Wet in Close Vote

It was close, 200 Yes, 192 No in a special called wet/dry election Tuesday for the residents of Double Springs. Double Springs City Clerk said a decision would be made today as to when the council will meet and approve the outcome of the election. The proponents of the legal sale of alcohol had pushed the concept of increased revenue for the city as it has done for other surrounding cities that have gone wet in the past couple of years such as Haleyville and Cullman.
