The Haleyville Board of Education extended the contracts of each contracted principal by one year because there were not appropriate evaluations conducted by the Superintendent during the 2011-2012 school year as required by contract terms. The Board took this action during its regular monthly meeting Tuesday night.
The Board also approved expenditures for the past two months: September expenditures: $1,362,377.12 and October expenditures: $1,374,499.01. It declared a 1990 Dodge Van and a 1991 Ford Ranger Pickup as surplus and will accept bids for their sales.
Whitney Webb will be out on family medical leave on or about January 2, 2013, through March 8, 2013, and Alicia Painter was hired as a paraprofessional at HHS, November 28, 2012, through the end of the school year.
The next meeting of the Board is Tuesday, December 18, 7 PM, in the board room at HHS.
