The Haleyville Lions varsity football team jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter Friday night in Killen, only to fall 38-27 to the Brooks Lions.  Coach Mark Heaton's game plan to control the ball almost worked to perfection. He stated,  "I am very proud of how our kids competed and played hard the entire game."  The Paradise 92.7 Lion of the Week is Matt Smith.  The Lions host Priceville Friday, October 12 for HHS Homecoming.
