Vandals Strike At Library -- Again

Vandals struck again at the library this past weekend, cutting and stripping bark from a tree. They also destroyed decorative bricks on the side and out back of the library.

Librarian Carla Waldrep said, "It's just frustrating and aggravating." She said that the library does not put out exterior Christmas decorations anymore because vandals ruin them. Planters sit empty because vandals pull up the plants or flowers and sometimes place them in the book return, Waldrep added.

A police report  was filed and Haleyville Police are investigating.
