Severe Thunderstorm

1300-block of 25th Street Monday evening after a severe thunderstorm took down a tree; the tree landed on phone and cable tv lines.

A severe thunderstorm blew through Monday evening taking down trees and utility poles throughout the area. Power was out to most until around 9:30 PM. There were no injuries reported. Roads and highways were blocked and some were impassable. Firefighters and street department crews worked throughout the night to open roadways.
