• HHS Band Banquet

A full-house of HHS band members (including 8th grade), their parents, school officials, and the sponsors, the HHS Band Boosters, recently enjoyed a delicious dinner and heard two great speakers. First, was the voice of HHS football on Paradise 92.7, Butch Foster. His short personal musical history, which included multi-colleges and the Navy. His message was being a musician is great in that it can open doors and it is one skill which lasts a lifetime.  Butch is a salesman with Carl Cannon Chevrolet in Jasper and is the choir/music director at Corinth Heights Baptist.

Dr. Lloyd E. Jones, Judd Williams, HMS Band Director, Reggie Tolbert, HHS Band Director

Dr. Lloyd E. Jones, Director of Bands, University of North Alabama, also gave a short but very effective narrative of how he got to where he is. He was once the student of Wayne Johnson, formerly of Haleyville. Again, not missing an opportunity to motivate and pass along a little wisdom to the young band members.  What they are learning now, he stated would stay with them forever and they would see the real benefits of knowing and playing a musical instrument later in life.
