While an area in Winston County off of County Line Road was not within the city limits of Haleyville, a resident there might have done well on Monday to heed the city's "No Burn Order." A "small" and "controlled" burn grew into a large and out of control fire requiring Haleyville Fire Department personnel to extinguish it.

As a reminder, within the city, do not burn until further notice; outside of the city, contact the forestry commission for permission before you burn.
