The Alcohol Review Committee met Friday morning and made the following recommendations to the City Council regarding applications to sell alcohol in Haleyville: House of Brews (Keith Elkins) at 8191 Hwy 13 -- recommend approval; Scott's Qwik Mart (Pete Adair) at 42307 Hwy 195 -- recommend approval. The Council will hold a public hearing regarding these recommendations on Tuesday, September 7, 6 PM, one hour prior to the regular council session.
