David Cummings and his daughter outside West House Tuesday night after he won the Republican Nomination for Winston County Commission District 2

David Cummings will be the next Winston County Commissioner from District 2. Cummings defeated incumbent Randy Tucker in the Republican Runoff Tuesday, 1,066 to 912, 53.9% to 46.1%. With no Democrat in the race, Cummings is de facto elected.

Cummings gathered with friends and family at West House after the election. He told HBTV, "I want to thank everyone who voted today and I will enjoy being a commissioner who works for the people of Winston County."
