Ken Farr, manager of the Haleyville Wal-Mart, was very proud of the remodeling and upgrade work done since February to the 28-year old store. Utilizing a special team of approximately 50 people, the store was completely remodeled on the inside with a new look on the outside. Automatic opening doors welcomes shoppers to the wider main aisles and a layout patterned after a super-center.
As part of the company's community involvement program, Farr presented $500 checks from Wal-Mart to representatives of the Winston County Mental Health, Northwest Shoals Community College, Haleyville Fire Department and the Double Springs Elementary School.
