A single vehicle accident at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday resulted in two injuries. a totaled vehicle and a demolished church sign. A 2005 Mercury Marquis, driven by Bobbie Hood, 73, Haleyville, left Highway 195 South coming out of the curve at Winston Memorial, hitting the brick Waldrop Church sign, leaving nothing more than the concrete slab it was built on. Both Hood and her passenger, Sarah Brock, were transported by helicopter and ambulance to Huntsville. The accident was investigated by the Alabama State Troopers.
