The Haleyville City Board of Education met Tuesday with all members present. Upon the recommendation of Superintendent Dr. Alan Miller, the board approved all the items on the agenda, including the financial statement for May in the amount of $1,248,128,25. Other items approved were Parent/Student Handbooks, Sponsorship assignments, Fees, supplements, stipends and charges, Curriculum and Course Catalogs, Coaching assignments, substitute nurses list, Cheerleader, Band and Majorette/Parent Handbooks, Sports Schedule and other administrative items for the coming school year as well as twelve fundraisers
Several items were declared surplus and will be sold. See list on the agenda below.
In personnel actions, the board approved the retirement of Debra Hamrick as special Ed Teacher at HHS; the hiring of Mandy Townsend as HMS summer School math teacher; will Romine as HHS PE teacher; the transfer of Rachel Armstrong as Special Ed teacher at HHS to HMS; the transfer of Anissa Ivey, from HMS special Ed teacher to HHS; hiring Lisa Cook and Lisa emerson as Bright Start Morning Tutors for HHS and hiring Annie Murphy as Parent Center Liaison for HES.
