Around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, firemen from the Delmar, Haleyville, and Lynn Fire Departments responded to the Estes residence on County Highway 357 to a barn fire that was also endangering a home. The barn was completely engulfed in flames when the firemen arrived on the scene, and it was completely destroyed. However, the firemen were able to prevent the propane gas tank near the home from exploding, and only minor damage was done to the outside of the home. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
