Sunday, December 7, 2014 will be the 73rd Anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, officially declaring the entry of the United States into World War II. 

Upon the request of President Barack Obama and Alabama Governor Robert Bentley, Haleyville Mayor Ken Sunseri requests all U.S. Flags to be flown at half-staff Sunday, December 7 in honor of the American patriots who died as a result of their service at Pearl Harbor. Flags should remain lowered until sunset Sunday.
