The qualifying for this year's Haleyville City Board of Education elections closed Tuesday. The position up for election is currently filled by Beth McAlpine. McAlpine is the only candidate who qualified for the election and will therefore serve another term on the Board of Education after she was elected without opposition. McAlpine's new term will officially begin March 1, 2015, and she will serve six additional years.
