Congratulations to Haleyville Lady Lions Pitcher, Holly Ward who has been named a Medium Schools First Team All-American by Max Preps. The Mississippi State signee was named Alabama's 4A Player of the Year as well as the Gatorade Player of the Year recipient. Ward led the Class 4A two-time defending state champion Lions (34-17) to a third-place finish this season when she compiled a 25-9 record with an 0.80 ERA, striking out 335 batters in 219 innings. She batted .432 with eight home runs and 64 RBIs.
