There was a deployment ceremony held Saturday afternoon for the 877th Engineer Battalion. One hundred and seventy-four soldiers from Haleyville's Army National Guard unit will be deploying to Afghanistan Wednesday, April 9, 2014. In addition, fourteen soldiers from the 1305 Survey and Design Team will also deploy with the 877th on April 27th.
