There was a one vehicle accident near the intersection of State Highway 241 and Marion County Road 106 Thursday around 4:15 p.m. The Chrysler Concord was traveling north on State Highway 241 before the driver lost control, left the roadway, and the vehicle flipped. Bily Knott was ejected from the car and airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. The driver, Patricia Knott was transported by Regional Paramedic Services to Russellville Hospital. 

The Bear Creek Police Department, Bear Creek Fire Department, Marion County Sheriff's Department, and Alabama Department of Public Safety responded to the scene. The accident is currently under investigation by the Bear Creek Police Department, with assistance from the Alabama Department of Public Safety.
