Many residents received a letter concerning fire dues from the Haleyville Fire Department in the mail this week. There has been a bit of confusion regarding these notices.  There has not been a change regarding which department you pay fire dues to, nor has there been a change in the fire districts covered by the departments. 

As stated on the notice, if you live OUTSIDE the Haleyville city limits but INSIDE the Haleyville Fire District, residential dues are $60 per year, and business dues are $100 per year. You can pay the total in one payment, or it can be added to your water bill each month. If you received the notice, and this does not apply to you, please disregard the notice. If you are unsure, call the Haleyville Fire Department.
