FEMA has awarded Haleyville two Hazard Mitigation Grants to construct two additional community safe rooms. The rooms, 96-person versions, will be constructed at the Scout Hut and at the Senior Center/Head Start areas. Total costs for both projects are $192,067; the City's match is $48,016. Acceptance of the grants is on the City Council agenda for Monday morning.
