Day One Traffic By Glenn Collins Monday, August 20, 2012 | 9:08 AM

Drivers, for the most part, were patient and attentive Monday morning as the school year began for Haleyville City Schools. Traffic was heavy and moved smoothly through the intersection of 20th Street and 20th Avenue. One driver was warned about using a cell phone in the school zone. At 7:53 AM, the lanes coming into the campus were clear.

Haleyville Police Chief said, "Some were more patient than others; this is a typical day one." Monday marks Reogas' 21st "Day One of School" as Chief.
