In a close vote Thursday evening, the Haleyville Board of Education selected Dr. Alan Miller, Director of Student Services at Eufaula City Schools, as the next Superintendent. He will begin work July 1. The Board nominated Miller and HMS Principal Russ O'Rear to the position. The vote was three (Stott, Manasco, McAlpine) for Miller and two (Burleson, Houghton) for O'Rear.
