A Saturday evening single-vehicle accident claimed the life of the vehicle's driver, Thomas D. Anderson, 40, of Haleyville. The accident occurred on Newburg Road just South of Blake Curve. The vehicle was Northbound around 6:30 PM when it left the road. Anderson was pronounced dead on arrival at Lakeland Community Hospital. Haleyville Police are investigating.
