As part of Kaboom! "Play It Forward" Program, Phil Campbell Elementary School received a new playground Saturday fully funded by Disney. 

Over 400 volunteers, ranging from school staff, parents, students, and local community members, came out to have a hand in the playground build. 

The playground site now has a 2,500 square foot playspace, an edible garden, shade structures and picnic tables, outdoor classroom, updated basketball court, and a memorial in honor of the teacher and 2 students lost in the tornado on April 27.
