New Security in Courtroom

If you are scheduled for Haleyville City Court Thursday, you are not alone. Over 170 defendants with well over 200 cases are scheduled. There will be increased security, so plan to arrive early and leave your pocket knife, large belt buckles or any other metal items you may have on your person at home. Everyone will have to go through a metal detector to gain access to the courtroom. This will be time-consuming, so plan to arrive early. 

Although the new courtroom is larger than the previous one, it will still not accommodate the huge volume expected for the February 25 court day.  Because of the expected large number of cases you are asked only the defendant go inside the court room.  Anyone who does not have an actual citation or charge, please allow the scheduled people to be seated.
