Haleyville Municipal Court Change

Many changes are being introduced into the court system for the first time in the history of Haleyville.  Probably the largest change will be added security.  Everyone will have to go through a metal detector to gain access to the courtroom.  This will be time consuming at first.  As a result, if you are scheduled for court February 25 please be early.  Although the new courtroom is larger than the previous one, it will still not accommodate the huge volume expected for the February 25 court day.  Because of the expected large number of cases we are asking only the defendant go inside the court room.  Over 200 defendants are on this docket therefore we will be asking  everyone that does not have an actual citation or charge to please allow the scheduled people to be seated.

Another change is you can now pay your traffic citations on line, by phone, or in person with a credit or debit card.  The address for the online payment is:  haleyvilleal.govtportal.com.  Type in exactly as shown, no WWW. In front.  Phone payments should be called in to 205-483-3322.

We are pleased to provide this added security and connivence to the citizens of Haleyville.  We will be having an open house in the near future, so everyone will be able to tour the entire building.
