HHS Football Awards 2015

The Haleyville High Football Awards Banquet sponsored by the Haleyville Lions Club was held Tuesday evening at the First Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. The Lions had a most successful season making it to the state playoffs. 

The guest speaker was Nathan Carroll, pastor at the Haleyville First Baptist Church. 

The varsity cheerleaders were recognized by their sponsor, Wendy Rushing. All the players were recognized by head football coach, Bo Culver.  The Lions Club long time tradition of presenting gold footballs to the senior players did not happen because, for the first time ever, they did not arrive in time.  

Head football coach Bo Culver and his staff of coaches presented the individual player awards. Some of the players were not present, but those chosen for awards included the following:

Lion award - Noah Tittle

Permanent Captains - Will Evans, Brady Sherrill

David Albright Award - Luis Esinoza

Bobby Lee Long Award - Jarred Gravitt-Tucker

Earl Frank Walker Award - Hayden Ward

Academic MVPS

Senior-Hayden Ward

Junior - Wyn McAlpine, Reid Haughton

Sophomore - Nick Sadler, Cal Taylor

Most Improved Offensive Skill - Daniel Burleson

Most Improved Defensive Skill - Chris Manasco

Most Improved Offensive Lineman - J.T.  Lollar

Most Improved Defensive Lineman - Michael Rice
