The new Haleyville Fire Station has doors, but no walls. Snow, sleet, ice and rain have all hampered the progress of the construction of two new city facilities including city hall and the fire station presently under construction on Highway 13 North at 6th Avenue. The new fire station features double doors to allow drive through parking, making it much easier to park the fire trucks  inside without backing. Construction has not actually strarted on the new city hall awaiting the excavating and fill for a good foundation before any concrete flooring can be done.
