The Haleyville City Board of Education met Tuesday evening for the regularly scheduled monthly meeting. All members were present. Here’s a look at the items approved during this meeting.
- August expenditures in the amount of $1,425,525.06
- September expenditures in the amount of $1,388,584.23
- Field trip request for Varsity Baseball and Todd McNutt to travel to the Spring Break Tournament in Gulf Shores March 29-April 2, 2015
- Field trip request for DECA and Neina Middleton to visit the Titans Learning Lab in Nashville November 4, 2014
- Surplus Equipment: printer, 4 stoves, 3 dishwashers, and 3 televisions
- Substitute Teacher List
- Junior/Senior Prom to be held at the Haleyville National Guard Armory April 11, 2015
- Payment of annual property insurance in the amount of $76,955 to the State of Alabama Risk Management Insurance
- “Candy Kickoff” and “Paint the Town Pink” events to be held on the grounds of Haleyville High School prior to the football game October 31, 2014
- Use of HES Cafeteria by Fontaine Equipment Company December 5, 2014
- Use of HES Lunchroom by the Haleyville Cardinal Toybowl Football for Awards Presentations November 4, 2014
- Retirement of Mary Jo Swinney from HES effective January 2015
- Termination of all 21st Century Staff and Teachers due to loss of funding, effective November 7, 2014
- Hire of Dana Pettis as HES Teacher effective November 12, 2014
