Haleyville Police Officers arrested Matthew Joseph Pelt, 31 of Haleyville, Friday August 1, 2014 at 12:05 a.m. Pelt was arrested for Theft of Property Second Degree and Public Intoxication after taking an electric wheelchair from Walmart in Haleyville. Officers located Pelt still driving the cart on 30th Street, with a beer in hand. Pelt was transported to the Winston County Jail.
