The Haleyville City Council met Monday evening for the regularly scheduled meeting, and all council members were present.  The following items were approved.

• council minutes and public hearing minutes from 07/07/2014
• June general operational bills in the amount of $392,922.40
• school board member without opposition (Beth McAlpine Place 1)
• repairs to the Scout Hut up to $50,000
• mayor to execute a quitclaim deed to clear up right of way question with ALDOT for landscaped islands at the intersections of 20th and 19th Streets and State Highway 13
• change August 20 court date to August 28
• advertising for a school crossing guard
• two appointments to the Mental Health Board for 6 year terms- Tressa Wilson and Mary Lou Masters (replacing Wallace Thrasher and Bill Lakeman)

The next regularly scheduled Haleyville City Council meeting will be held Monday, August 4 at 5:30 p.m. There will also be a work session immediately following the council meeting to discuss the proposed Fire Prevention Ordinance.
