New Principals Named for HHS and HES

The Haleyville City Board of Education met Thursday evening. The big news of the evening was the hire of principals for Haleyville High School and Haleyville Elementary School. Dr. Holly Sutherland has been named as Probationary Principal of Haleyville High School, effective July 17, 2014. Wayne Frazier received the title of Probationary Principal of Haleyville Elementary School, effective July 17, 2014. Sutherland and Frazier will join an outstanding group of administrators in the Haleyville City Schools System and both stated they are looking forward to the upcoming school year and have high hopes for their individual schools.

Additional personnel items approved during the board meeting was the resignation of Coach Shane Reed as Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach and Social Sciences Teacher at Haleyville High School. The Board of Education has appointed Coach Dusty Ball as the new Varsity Boys Basketball Coach for the 2014-15 school year. Next, Enjoli Godsey has been hired as a paraprofessional at Haleyville Elementary School, effective August 4, 2014. Another change in coaching for the upcoming year is the appointment of Coach Todd McNutt as the Defensive Coordinator for the HHS Football Team.
