The Haleyville City Council met for the regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday evening.  Councilmen Royce Benefield and Richard Bittinger were absent. The following items were approved. 

-council minutes from 1/6/14 meeting (Mayor Sunseri abstained from the vote due to being absent from that meeting.)

-December operational bills in the amount of $534,858.11

-paving at the tennis court at the 21st Street Gym and RR crossing at Walnut Avenue and 17th Street (Dixie Paving and Sealing was the low bid on both projects. $12,800 for the tennis court and $7,900 for the crossing.)

-purchase of limb/debris trailer for the Street and Sanitation Department from Price Advertising for $5,000

The council also voted to table the discussion of placing a street light at the intersection of Jessica Drive and Delashaw Road until more research has been completed regarding the city limit line near the intersection.
