Doug Channel and Ryan Skillman fill pot holes on Newburg Road recently.
Winter weather has taken it's toll on city streets. According to Barry Farris, Superintendent of the Haleyville Street and Sanitation Department, temporary patching is being done on many of the worse case pot holes until spring or summer when some of the streets will receive new paving or at least a better fix. The better fix will be a "hot patch."
According to Mayor Ken Sunseri, S.T. Bunn Construction will begin to repair and resurface the area in front of The Cave next to the Lions Den as soon as the company has finished paving the new Wal-Mart parking lot. Bunn will then finish the paving project at the North Industrial Park.
