Maybe not as big a leak as this one, but the Haleyville Water Department is averaging repairing a leak or correcting a problem every day. Saturday, their day started at 2 a.m. with a reported leak on 30th Street. A 10 inch PVC mainline split and was turning dirt into mud. As crews worked for the rest of the morning on that leak, another was discovered around 5 a.m. on a 6-inch line in the Cripple Creek Subdivision. Both lines were back in service by noon with line flushing for a few hours to get things back to normal.
