Four items pertaining to the new sports complex were approved which included a 48-month lease of lawn equipment for $2,198.83\/mo with a $1.00 payout. Also, a change order was approved for the equipment building plus the purchase of two 12&#8242; X 24&#8242; pavilions for $5,570.00 and the installation of electrical connections for WIFI service at the complex. WIFI service for the complex will be provided at no charge to the city by Total Solution Guys.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Austin Lewis was hired as a new police officer effective November 28 at a starting pay of $10.25\/hour.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The next Haleyville City Council meeting will be Monday, December 5, 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Haleyville City Council met Monday with George Russell absent.
