The Council approved the operating bills for January in the amount of $640,575.02. Two Resolutions approving the financing a new firetruck with Traders and Farmers Bank and one for a tax abatement for Gumbo and Jazz were approved. Additional lighting for the batting cages at the Sportsplex was discussed.<\/p>\n<p>Also discussed was a proposed CDBG demolition project to eliminate condemned property in the City.<\/p>\n<p>Tyra Rayburn and Jimmy Holley were hired as volunteer firefighters.
