After approving the minutes from the last meeting on May 20, the Council heard a report on the success of the 9-1-1 weekend from Jade Bice of the Haleyville Chamber of Commerce. Jade said the Friday night concert and Saturday festivities were a huge success. From the antique car show. the corn hole contest, \u00a0the children&#8217;s playground (manned by HES personnel) the parade and the many vendors coupled with a great weather day made it a perfect weekend event.<\/p>\n<p>Mayor Sunseri announced the hiring of the following as Volunteer Firemen at the rate of $17.83 per call.
