He checked with dispatch to see if there were any controlled burns. Learning there was not, he found the source of the smoke, a house fire on 13th Street in South Haleyville with no nearby houses. The unoccupied house was fully engulfed in flames when before the fire department&#8217;s arrival to extinguish the flames.
