The Haleyville Lions Club recently donated $500 to help Meleigh Davis to see. Her story is below and she can use your help.<\/p>\n

Myleigh\u00a0is 10 years old and has been diagnosed with Stargardt’s disease, an inherited condition that causes vision loss at a very young age.\u00a0As a result, she can only see her surroundings in a blur of shapes, colors, and motions.\u00a0Just recently, however,\u00a0Myleigh\u00a0experienced a miracle when she tried on\u00a0eSight, a pair of electronic glasses, that allowed her to see 20\/10 (even better than ‘perfect’ vision!). Her whole family was overwhelmed by just how amazing the outcome was, but they, unfortunately, cannot afford the $5,000 down payment for\u00a0Myleigh\u00a0to get a pair of her own.<\/p>\n
Myleigh\u00a0wants\u00a0eSight\u00a0so she can experience the little things that many of us take for granted. She wants to actually see the trees during her hikes, read sheet music while playing the piano, recognize her favorite animals at the zoo, and play normally with her sister and friends.<\/p>\n
