{"id":10592,"date":"2018-01-20T19:28:26","date_gmt":"2018-01-21T01:28:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hbtv.us\/News-for-Haleyville\/?p=10592"},"modified":"2018-01-20T19:28:26","modified_gmt":"2018-01-21T01:28:26","slug":"free-tax-preparation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hbtv.us\/News-for-Haleyville\/free-tax-preparation\/","title":{"rendered":"Free Tax Preparation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p3\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Haleyville, Double Springs, Arley<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">Free Preparation of Federal and State Returns for Tax Year 2017 will be available from the Winston County AARP Tax-Aide sites with locations in Haleyville and Double Springs.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Volunteers will prepare and electronically file federal and state tax returns for taxpayers with low and middle incomes.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>You do not have to be a member of AARP, a retiree, or a certain age to use this service. <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Please note that those taxpayers with complex tax returns will be advised to seek professional tax assistance.<\/span><span class=\"s3\"> These tax sites were developed thru collaboration between the IRS, AARP Tax-Aide, Mayor Robinson of Double Springs and Mayor Sunseri of Haleyville.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\">AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, the nation\u2019s largest free, volunteer-run tax assistance and preparation program, was founded in 1968 by four AARP volunteers. Today, more than 35,000 volunteers in all 50 states and the District of Columbia serve at 6,100+ Tax-Aide sites from February 1 to April 15.
