Cheerleaders Take National Honors

Area cheerleaders took high honors recently at the 2011 National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, Fla. The championships are sponsored by Universal Cheerleading Association.

Meek High School took 3rd and Winston County High School took 4th. Both squads are in the Small Varsity Non Tumbling Division.

The WCHS squad includes Sarah Adams, Angelia Ergle, Kapsey Hyche, Dixie Lewis, Brianna Hampton, Ashley Cordwell, Leslie Fouts, Erica Roberson, Samantha Brown, Kloie Pearson, Makenzie Bullock and Ashley Mays. They are coached by Sherry Hyche.

WCHS seniors Sarah Adams, Angelia Ergle and Kapsey Hyche are members of the squad that took 4th in the nation.
