278 to Hamilton Closed at Barn Creek

Work crews have begun the bridge replacement project on US278 at Barn Creek. US278 is closed at the crossing and the expected completion date is the second week of August.

ALDOT suggests that local traffic use CR48 over to AL253 at Brinn then down to US278.

The official detour will take vehicles down AL129 to Corridor X then over to Hamilton.

Barn Creek Bridge is .8-miles East of AL253
