Regina Hood of Double Springs is shown rehearsing for Annis Evans’ hilarious new play Mama’s Wake

Mama's Wake, a new comedy by Annis Evans, runs April 9 and 10. The play, produced by the Winston County Arts Council, will be performed at Lakeshore Inn Restaurant on Smith Lake near Double Springs

The play stars Annis Evans and Lonnie Collier. Other cast members include Winston County Schools Superintendent Sue Reed, Winston County Sheriff's Deputy Charlie Thompson, and eight other local actors. Music will be provided by Ronnie and Jerry Mobley and Mike Hammitte. Ronnie Miller and Gen Gen Jacobs direct.

The play is being presented as dinner theater, with the buffet dinner starting at 6:30 pm both nights. The price is $20. Tickets may be purchased from any Arts Council member, crew member, director, or at the Arley Public Library, Howse of Flowers in Addison, or Circuit Clerk’s office in the Winston County Courthouse. Or just pay at the door.

Evans' plays always feature plenty of down-home Southern humor and charm. This one will include audience participation, so wear black and come join us for some old-time fun!
