Area Halloween Activities

Halloween is Friday, which means all the ghosts and goblins are ready to come out and play. In addition to door-to-door trick-or-treating throughout Haleyville and the surrounding cities, here is a list of other community events happening in our area this week.

Haleyville High School will host a Candy Kickoff Friday, 10/31 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. There will be a $5 parking charge for all cars. Kids ages 12 and under who are in costume will get free admission into the football game with a paid adult. There will also be a costume contest held just before halftime at the game.

Rose Manor will be passing out candy to trick-or-treaters from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Friday. 

New Hope Baptist Church on State Highway 129 will be hosting a Fall Festival Friday, 10/31 beginning at 5:00 p.m.  Activities include Trunk-or-Treat, games, and a hayride. There will also be live music. If you need transportation, call 205-269-2164.

South Haleyville Baptist Church will be hosting a Trunk-or-Treat event Friday 10/31 beginning at 5:00 p.m. They will also have refreshments.

Crossway Fellowship on State Highway 195 will be hosting a Trunk-or-Treat event Friday at 5:00 p.m.

Bear Creek will have a community-wide Halloween at the Park event Friday, 10/31 at the Twin Forks Campgrounds. It will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Trick-or-treat stations will be set up at the campsites, and transportation from the concession stand to the campsites will be provided. No other vehicles will be allowed to travel in the campground during trick-or-treat hours. Parents are encouraged to accompany smaller children.

Haleyville First United Methodist Church on 9th Avenue will hold the Hallelujah Festival Wednesday, 10/29 at 6:30 p.m. It will be located in the gym inside the church. There will be a blow-up slide, cake walk, costume parade, games with prizes, various activities, and Trunk-or-Treat cars lined up in the parking lot.

CrossWay Church on 18th Avenue will host a Trunk or Treat event Thursday, 10/30 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Mountain View Baptist Church in Phil Campbell will have a Trunk-or-Treat Friday, 10/31 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Refreshments will also be served.

Grace Baptist Church on State Highway 129 in Haleyville will host a Fall Festival Saturday, 11/1 from 5:00-8:30 p.m. They will have a hay ride, hotdogs, chili, and other activities. Please no costumes at this event.

New Oak Grove Freewill Baptist in Nauvoo will host a Trunk-or-Treat Thursday, 10/30 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

9th Avenue Church of Christ will have a Trunk-or-Treat event Wedneday 10/29 immediately following Bible Classes. Classes will begin at 6:30 p.m., and all ages are welcome. Prizes wille be given for the best boy and girl costume.
