New Scam Targets Haleyville

Residents of Haleyville and the surrounding communities are reporting phone calls stating their Mastercard credit and/or debit cards have been compromised. The caller then asks the residents to enter the 16 digit number on the front of the card to confirm. When you enter the number, it reveals your personal information to the caller, and your card has been compromised at that point.

Please remember not to give any personal information to anyone over the phone unless you know who you are speaking with. If you believe your credit or debit card has been compromised, contact your bank or card company directly. Never speak to anyone who calls you asking for your personal information.
