Christmas by the Lake

The Haleyville Fire Department is preparing for the 12th Annual Christmas by the Lake. The event will open Friday evening at 5:30 p.m. and will continue through Christmas night. 

Hours for this year's events are Sunday-Thursday 5:30-8:30, and Santa will be in his house from 6:00-8:00 on those evenings.  Fridays and Saturdays, the hours will be 5:30-9:30, and Santa will be visiting from 6:00-9:00 nightly. However, Santa will not be available Christmas Eve or Christmas Night, due to prior obligations around the world. 

There is no admission fee to the event, but donations for the Haleyville Fire Department will be accepted. Phillip Weaver, Haleyville Fire Chief, stated he and the department are very thankful to everyone who has made this event possible.  He stated many donations have been received from businesses and individuals in the community, and without those donations, the event would not be able to take place each year.
