The Haleyville Alumni Day activities included a joint parade with the 9-1-1 emergency vehicles downtown Saturday morning. At the luncheon following the parade, Judge Lee Carter was honored as the recipient of the annual Alumnus of the Year Award. Judge Carter has served in the Marines as a JAG officer, owned an insurance agency, practiced law in Haleyville and elected Circuit Judge. Judge Carter thanked his teachers at the Haleyville schools for being a great influence on his life.
