Better Drainage, But No Guardrails

Work was recently completed by the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) on storm water drainage on Highway 195 next to Rocky Ravine. The work was to stop the eroding roadway around two drainage pipes. An ALDOT engineer, Allen Teague stated there were no plans to add guardrails at this time, but could be included in work when the highway will be resurfaced sometime within this next fiscal year which begins on October 1.
