The new Tornado Safe Room, still under construction, was shown Thursday to a distinguished visitor, Dr. Phillip Williams, Major General, United States Disaster Relief Command. Dr. Williams had just made an official visit to the Haleyville Rotary Club as the new Rotary District Governor when the opportunity arose to visit Mayor Ken Sunseri and visit the new safe room. 

Dr. Williams later commented he was very impressed with Mayor Ken Sunseri's "abilities and insight into problems confronting the City of Haleyville. I thought his plan for the community shelter was outstanding! He has made a difference in the area as a whole, not just Haleyville."
